How long have you been working at the ReStore? 2 ½ years
What’s your favorite part of working at the ReStore? Meeting all the wonderful customers with great imaginations and working with each other/all the volunteers.
Previous or current profession: Carolyn is a retired RN who volunteer with Red Cross for 12 years locally and nationally. Ashley is an Interior Designer.
First job: Carolyn worked as a soda jerk at her dad’s drug store! Ashley was in customer service answer phones at a business.
Hobbies: Carolyn is in several music groups – both concert and jazz dance bands. Check out her group named “All that Jazz.” Ashley loves to travel.
My friends describe me as: Both are loyal, but Carolyn is always friendly and willing to help others while Ashley is funny and perhaps a tad crazy!
What is the strangest item you have seen come through the ReStore? Bright brass swan faucet!
Favorite memory or what you like about working at the ReStore? Carolyn says it’s a good cause, to help save materials from the landfill and generate funds for people who need affordable homes. Ashley’s favorite memory – playing poker with nails on a slow, winter day (this was not encouraged by managers)
