How long have you been working at the ReStore:
3 yrs? Not sure, time flies with this retirement gig!

What’s your favorite part of working at the Restore? The people! They’re friendly, good hearted and hardworking. They most certainly work harder than me.

Previous or current profession: retired Clinical Lab Scientist at UW Hospital and Clinics

First job: I was a fountain girl at the local A & W Root Beer Stand and put together orders for the car hops. I could make a mean twisty ice cream cone and black cow float. Of course, I ate many, many, many of those!

Hobbies: Baking, of course! Helping with the grandkids, throwing dinner parties, going on walks, going to the gym, golfing, snowshoeing, reading.

My friends describe me as:  Kind, thoughtful, organized, funny

What is the strangest item you have seen come through the ReStore? Since I’m the baker, I remember the piggy door stop that was a white elephant gift at a holiday party.

Favorite moment, or what you like about working at the ReStore? I’m a big believer in the recycling of supplies and furniture, etc. to save our environment. Most of all, I love being a part of an organization that helps families help themselves with something as important as owning your own home.
It’s the frosting on the cupcake…
